The Icelandic Philatelic Federation

was founded in 1968. It's aim is to officially represent all Icelandic stamp collectors both in Iceland and abroad as well as promoting philatelic research and the value of stamp collecting as a educating hobby.
This will be done mainly by open dialogues, publishing philatelic litterature, stamp exhibitions etc.

New Book!

The Icelandic Philatelic Federation has just recently published the book "Pósthús og bréfhirðingar á Íslandi 1870-2011" (Post- and collecting offices in Iceland 1870-2011) by the well known philatelist Þór Þorsteins. The book is a revised edition of Þór Þorsteins' book from 1991 on the same subject. Because of great changes in the Icelandic Post's operation this book is now a necessity for every philatelist interested in the Postal History of Iceland.

You can order the book from issporsrp@simnet.is
